Featuring a 1-1/2” diameter solid maple bar, the new and improved design of the Jr. Kip Bar offers much more stability for higher level skills and older gymnasts.
With two additional cross supports, skills like kips and back hip circles can easily be performed on the Jr. Kip Bar. The base can be further stabilized with a 4’ x 8’ piece of plywood for more advanced skills.
The following general guidelines will help you choose the best base:
- Standard Base– for athletes weighing between 50-70 lbs. for BASIC skills
- Standard Base with Extensions– for athletes weighing between 50-70 lbs. for ADVANCED skills.
- Standard Base with Extension & plywood (purchased from a local home improvement store)– for athletes weighing up to 125 lbs.

The Red Junior Kip Bar Package comes with a primamry colored 4′ x 8′ Tumbling Mat (Red, Royal Blue, Green, and Yellow).
The Purple Junior Kip Bar Package comes with a bright pastel colored 4′ x 8′ Tumbling Mat (Purple, Pink, Bight Blue, and Lime Green).
The 48” space between the base permits a standard 4 ft. wide mat to be used underneath. We recommend the 4’x8′ Tumbling Mat with a Jr. Practice Mat on top.
SPECIFICATIONS: 48” x 48,” bar adjusts from 38” high to an unequaled 59” high.
PARENT TIP: This bar will grow with your child. The standard bar is great for that 4 year old who is hanging on it and playing all the time. Use the extensions and it works wonders for the 10 year old who is learning casting, kipping, and basic circling skills.
