My thoughts on the American Cup…Part 1
Much has been said about the outstanding men’s field at this year’s American Cup. I’d have to agree. We’ve got some of the most exciting all-around competitors from all over the world, not to mention the two gymnasts whom most would call America’s very best right now.
Aly Raisman the second gymnast for American Cup? I think it’s possible. After a couple posters reminded me, I did realize that there are some gymnasts who were juniors last year who will be turning 16 this year, and thus are now “seniors” and eligible for the world team.
As usual, Marta is waiting until the very last minute to tell a gymnast she’s going to compete in a major competition. While I know Marta likes to pick gymnasts who seem to be “hot” at the exact right time – sometimes almost down to the day – I really don’t agree with the way she does this.
